I wanted to love my stay, but it fell short of expectations. The pool area was nice, and the staff were friendly, but the dirtiness and noise were hard to ignore. The room had potential, but there were maintenance issues that detracted from my experience.

Rooms
5.0
My room felt dark and didn't quite match the description. The shower was dirty, and I noticed some maintenance issues that should've been fixed. It just wasn't the relaxing getaway I had hoped for.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but their responses often seemed unsure. While they provided service with a smile, I wish they had more confident suggestions for things to do in Phoenix.
Location
6.0
The location is decent, close to some attractions, but I didn't feel super safe walking around after dark. The nearby areas are nice, but I definitely felt uneasy venturing too far at night.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were limited, and as a vegan, I found it frustrating that there weren't many choices. I ended up settling for basic chips and guac, which was disappointing considering I was looking forward to better fare.
Facilities
5.0
The pool and hot tub area were visually appealing, but the noise from the music was overwhelming. Plus, it felt like the facilities were open to everyone, not just hotel guests, which made it less special.

I had a mixed experience at The Clarendon Hotel and Spa. While I appreciated the comfortable memory foam beds and the friendly staff who were eager to help, I encountered several inconveniences including issues with the room provided at check-in. The location was decent, but the amenities, especially the dining options, were overpriced for what they offered.

Rooms
6.0
The suite I upgraded to had modern amenities like a comfortable king bed and light-filtering shades, but the first room was lacking and had some maintenance issues, like a non-working TV.
Service
7.0
The staff, especially Jodi, was friendly and accommodating, quickly resolving my room issue. However, I felt there could have been better communication regarding room reservations in the first place.
Location
6.0
While the hotel is not in the center of Phoenix, it was conveniently close to attractions. However, I wish the staff had provided better recommendations for local dining options.
Dining
5.0
I enjoyed the complimentary drinks during happy hour, but the menu items felt overpriced compared to the quality. It would have been nice to have more variety in the free snack offerings as well.
Facilities

The pool area looked inviting (too bad I couldn't enjoy it due to the weather), and the hot tub was a nice feature, but I still found the overall atmosphere to be a bit dated.

7.4/10

I had a mixed experience at The Clarendon. The cute cactus landscape and spacious, modern room were definite highlights. However, the cleanliness of shared spaces and the lack of privacy in my room left much to be desired. Overall, while the staff was friendly and I enjoyed the pool, I expected more given the hotel's advertised amenities. 🌵😕

Rooms

My room was spacious and modern but lacked proper cleanliness. There were concerns about privacy, especially with broken blinds, and some fixtures were in need of better maintenance.
Service

The staff was friendly and accommodating, always willing to assist with my requests. They definitely added a personal touch to my stay, which I appreciated.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, though it's not particularly close to major attractions. I had to walk about 10 minutes to reach public transport, which wasn't ideal.
Dining

I enjoyed the restaurant's happy hour with great deals on tacos and margaritas. However, the breakfast options were limited, especially for someone seeking vegetarian choices.
Facilities

The pool area was spacious and inviting, perfect for relaxation. However, the cleanliness of the hot tub and the condition of the shared spaces left me a bit disappointed.

My stay at The Clarendon Hotel was enjoyable, with comfortable beds and a lovely pool area. though some aspects, like the staff's communication and room conditions, left much to be desired. I found it frustrating that I had to look online to discover amenities like the rooftop bar, which I missed out on enjoying during my stay. Overall, it's a convenient spot with great potential, but a few improvements would enhance the experience.

The room I stayed in was comfortable, though it had some drawbacks such as missing furniture and outdated decor. The lack of seating at the desk and slippery bathroom surfaces were notable issues.

While most staff were friendly and helpful, I found the check-in experience lacking. The front desk didn't communicate available amenities or handle my payment situation correctly.

The hotel's location is excellent for exploring the downtown area, making it easy to find restaurants and attractions.

My stay at The Clarendon Hotel and Spa was a mixed bag. The ambiance is very unique, especially being a cannabis-friendly space with vibrant decor. However, I did face some issues like the slow elevator, and the bathroom could've used a bathmat. Overall, I'm looking forward to coming back but hope some of the concerns get addressed.

Rooms
6.0
The room had comfortable beds, but the decor felt dark and dated. I encountered some confusion during check-in regarding my requested renovated smoking room, as I ended up in an unrenovated space. Plus, amenities like an ironing board were not readily available.
Service
7.0
While the staff was friendly and helpful, responsiveness regarding some issues was lacking. I had to address concerns multiple times without immediate resolution, which was frustrating.
Location

The hotel is in a residential area, making it a bit tricky for accessing nearby attractions. Although it’s a nice area, parking felt sketchy at times.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the restaurant’s breakfast burritos and had great experiences with food and drink overall. The complimentary snacks were also a nice touch, adding a fun aspect to my stay.
Facilities

The pool area was a highlight, being spacious and inviting, along with a large hot tub for relaxation. However, the elevator was slow, and I found the coffee options in the lobby to be burnt.
